''The Ghost of Noah Hayes"  Brand new all Original Music from Rick Pardue and Timmy Massey

It's here, '"The Ghost of Noah Hayes" , the all original bluegrass project by Rick Pardue and Timmy Massey.   Response has been great from radio and bluegrass fans alike.  The project is getting great reviews and we just couldn't be tickled more!   We had wanted to do a recording like this for several years and I guess the stars just lined up right for us and with pickers like Jason Tomlin on mandolin, Jimmy Haley on guitar, and David Johnson on fiddles and steel guitar how could we go wrong?  All new, All fresh, and just waiting to be heard.  Once won't be enough, from what people tell me, they listen over and over again.  I think you will too, why are you punishing yourself by waiting? It's easy to order!! It hurts me to think of all the suffering people!!   Ease my pain and experience the joy that music brings!!!

THE SONGS

1. I've Got It Bad....I first heard Timmy do this one abut 10 years ago, its a dang fine tune, grassy as could be!!!

2. Two Chord Charlie... This was originally a fiddle/banjer tune but all of a sudden words came for it, always a favorite when we did it live!

3.
The Ghost of Noah Hayes..we wrote it for this project and liked it so well we used it for the title track, based on events that never happened, kinda Bill Monroe meets the Country Gentlemen meets Tommy Faile!

4. Hardly A Day...I wrote this a good many years ago and always thought it was a good tune, turned out to be a favorite of all the guys!

5. Talk Sweet To Jenny....David did the steel guitar on this one Timmy and I wrote a few years back , would make a great country song and if it would help some country artist out we would work something out with them!!

6.They Don't Name Girls Beulah Anymore... it took me several years to finish this song but it was worth the wait, folks always loved it when we played it at festivals, I knew lots of Beulahs' growing up!

7.Cold Virginia Night...Timmy's classic, 1995 IBMA Song of the Year, just a great bluegrass song and Timmy sings the dickens out of it Charles!

8.Something To Say...I wrote this one for this project, quick 3/4 time stuff
great twin fiddles!

9.Lead Me Not...we wrote this back around 04, been cut by a couple of bands,
here is how we heard it!!

10.This Lonesome Song...Timmy's great tune cut way back by the Lonesome River Band, our version is a little more grassy, more twin fiddles!!

11.He Can't Catch Fish...ok, I recorded it once as a instrumental, but somewhere I found some words, a duet all the way, its for "Big Ed"

12. Too Lonesome Too Blue....A great bluegrass song Timmy wrote a long time ago, don't know why no one ever done it, we used twin fiddles and high baritone so you would know you just heard a bluegrass song!!!
KCBL Radio Backroads Bluegrass Al Shusterman: Enclosed is a review of the cd that you sent to me CD THE GHOST OF NOAH HAYES COMMENTS Traditional bluegrass music is alive and well in the capable hands of Rick Pardue, & Timmy Massey. Both of these musicians along with Jimmy Haley, Jason Tomlin, & David Johnson bring many, many years of experience in creating this dynamic project. There are 12 original songs on this project written by Rick & Timmy, but the feel they have achieved is definitely vintage 1950's. I loved them all!!! The vocals were enthusiastic & heartfelt.. The instrumenatl work fit each song like a comfortable shirt. While listening to this project, I felt the anticipation of waiting for the next song knowing it would be better than the last one. I couldn't believe 33 minutes could go that fast!! Each time you play it, the project gets better. Its a great project to have in your collection. Its got great continuity from start to project. Just ask my listeners who have signaled their enthusiasm for this project for calling my request line. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 10!!!!!!! We really loved it........ Thank you for sharing this fine project with us. Cordially, Al Shusterman P.S. If push come to shove my favorite song is "Talk Sweet To Jenny".
